The revision of one of the world's most popular standards for environmental management, ISO 14001, has moved to Final Draft International Stage (FDIS). This means members have until 2 September to vote and comment before its final publication shortly after.

Check out some of the elements which should help make this standard have a greater impact on the environment:

The revision is the culmination of the work done by 121 experts members of ISO’s Technical Committee TC207/SC1 for environmental development led by ISO's member for the UK, BSI, representing 5 stakeholder groups from 88 countries.

It is due to be published and available for purchase from ISO members and the ISO Central Secretariat in September 2015.
